Senior Project Manager - K-12 Construction Project Management (Anticipated Opening)

Overview

In this role you lead a multi-discipline real estate project team, delivering K-12, higher education, or public sector facilities on site. You own project delivery, from planning through closeout, aligning client needs with budgets, schedules and risk controls. You coordinate resources, guides teams, and communicate progress to clients, driving successful outcomes within a client-centric, value-focused environment. Responsibilities
  • Manage budget, schedule, procurement, quality and risk for real estate projects end-to-end
  • Interpret and apply contracts, leases, charters and drawings to project delivery
  • Define client requirements, prepare scope, budgets, cash flow, schedules and milestones
  • Identify and assign project resources; conduct RFPs and bid analyses; lead evaluation interviews
  • Lead the project delivery team, provide direction and ensure objectives are met
  • Implement and oversee communications plans, meeting minutes and reporting
  • Govern project documentation; ensure data integrity and coordination
  • Track progress, report variances, and develop action plans to meet objectives
  • Manage change requests, assess impacts, and issue change orders
  • Identify and mitigate complex project risks; perform constructability reviews and risk planning
  • Apply project management knowledge within business results context (costs, risks, objectives)
Key requirements
  • Ability to analyze complex business documents including design and construction contracts
  • Strong written and verbal communication; persuasive presentations to diverse stakeholders
  • Financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Strategic advisory capability for project conception and objective alignment
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with strategic solution development
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and understand construction practices
  • Knowledge of MS Project, leases, contracts and construction practices
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Bachelor degree; Master's preferred
  • Six years of related PM experience in K-12, higher education, or public sector
  • Prior supervisory experience; PMP and/or CCM desired or ability to sit for exam
