Senior IT Security Administrator

Overview

In this role you will strengthen the bank's cybersecurity posture and protect cloud and on prem environments. You'll lead security measures, monitor threats, and guide incident response within a forward thinking IT security team. You work to align security practices with industry standards to safeguard customers and operations. Responsibilities
  • Recommend, plan, and implement security measures under direction of AVP - Security Officer and Risk Oversight Group
  • Oversee day to day firewall, anti malware, Microsoft Purview and Security Admin Centers, MFA, and secure email gateway monitoring
  • Update and recommend security policies and procedures ensuring integrity of bank systems
  • Produce and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Provide guidance and training for IT security systems and ensure best practice standards (NIST, FS ISAC)
  • Manage patch management process with Security, Network, and Helpdesk colleagues; document patches and purposes
  • Review and respond to security events; assist risk group with incident analysis and problem resolution
  • Review IT security issues with AVP - Security Officer and risk group
  • Monitor security system logs/alerts via SIEM and coordinate investigations and remediation
  • Develop and update business continuity and disaster recovery protocols; assist with DR testing and documentation
  • Collaborate on data security initiatives and network/system solutions
  • Stay current on threats and trends to proactively safeguard systems
  • Other related duties as requested
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the security field
  • Security+ or equivalent certification
  • Experience with firewalls, email gateways, encryption, and authentication
  • Strong Active Directory and group policy security skills
  • Experience with IT security assessments including internal/external penetration testing
  • Understanding of vulnerability and patch management
  • Proficiency with security software applications and tools
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Purview
  • Knowledge of SIEM, EDR, and related security tooling
  • Excellent customer service
