Overview In this role you will be part of the cost management and estimating team on a Chicago on-site project in the hospitality and gaming sector. Responsibilities- Estimate scope from project documents and guide pricing decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- Lead client accounts and participate in contract negotiations
- Prepare subcontractor analysis and evaluate change orders
- Manage continuous cost management and project-level contract administration
- Support management in developing new clients and expanding existing accounts
- Foster client satisfaction through proactive communication and reporting
- Mentor associate-level cost and commercial managers
- Develop project plans and deliver timely information requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- 8+ years in Cost Management or Quantity Surveying with professional accreditation
- BS in Construction, Cost Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Ability to review, interpret, and estimate project scope accurately
- Strong client-facing and contract negotiation capabilities
- Experience with cost management across multiple phases of construction
- Knowledge of local market construction law, measurement methods, and cost drivers
- Ability to lead and mentor teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
