Overview

As a Lab and Field Applications Scientist, you support dissolution and diffusion products through a blend of technical sales enablement, field engagement, and hands-on lab work. You will be a key technical resource for sales, customers, and service personnel, driving product testing, procedures, and training. The role combines in-house lab duties with customer-facing demonstrations and field support to deliver actionable technical guidance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape product development and application data, contributing to the company's technical leadership and customer success.

Responsibilities
  • support sales and customer meetings with technical discussions and field guidance
  • participate in customer visits and field demonstrations
  • develop and communicate application data via notes, emails, and presentations
  • assist with product testing, development, and laboratory procedures
  • train in-house and distributor personnel on SOPs and product use
  • deliver technical presentations, product demos, and customer discussions
  • write, review, and approve SOPs as the instrumentation subject matter expert
  • train service personnel on pertinent SOPs
  • provide customer insights to Product Line Manager to aid product development
  • perform instrument/software demonstrations and customer training
  • evaluate competitive products and provide input on sales tools and collateral
  • execute in-house lab duties including testing, evaluations, setup, maintenance, and supply ordering
Key requirements
  • experience in drug dissolution or diffusion procedures in the pharmaceutical industry
  • working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation: HPLC, MS, UV/Vis
  • BS with more than 2 years of chemical/engineering lab experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • sales or sales support experience preferred
  • ability to travel to customer sites and events
  • clear written and verbal communication in English
