Overview Inthis role you guide SCE's Drinking Water and Well Management efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting related wastewater and stormwater programs. You will act as a regulatory and technical advisor, managing permits, water quality monitoring, reporting, and agency relationships to protect public health and facility safety. You'll work with cross-functional teams to advance compliance initiatives and risk reduction, contributing to cleaner energy and safer operations. This is a hybrid position grounded in California with travel up to 15%.
Responsibilities- Advise on environmental compliance strategies and liaise with regulators and internal partners
- Design and improve compliance processes, standards, and training to align with business aims
- Assess environmental risk and implement mitigation programs
- Conduct environmental inspections and maintain accurate compliance records
- Foster strong collaboration with internal teams and external agencies
- Oversee environmental initiatives with project management to ensure timely delivery
- Prepare reports and studies for regulatory submission and maintain documentation
- Ensure protection of assets and secure handling of sensitive information
Key requirements- Seven+ years in environmental/compliance field and/or permitting
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- Experience with drinking water and groundwater well compliance, including permitting, reporting, water quality monitoring, and oversight
