Overview As Structural Superintendent for TPZP on CP-1, you oversee safe construction aligned with design, budget, and schedule. You will coordinate onsite activities, subcontractors, and material use while ensuring contract compliance and safety performance. You provide technical interpretation of drawings and advise on construction methods and equipment. You'll help develop project schedules and site logistics, with close collaboration with site Owner representatives. This role offers a pathway to influence large-scale bridge, roadway, and rail work on a landmark high-speed rail project.
Responsibilities- Supervise construction efforts to meet safety, design, budget, and schedule targets
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.)
- Ensure craft workers and subcontractors comply with contract requirements, materials and equipment usage, site safety plan, and schedule
- Provide technical assistance by interpreting drawings and recommending methods and equipment
- Assist management in developing project schedule, site logistics, and procedures
- Support Site Specific Safety Plan
- Coordinate with on-site Owner personnel
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
Key requirements- 15+ years of construction experience
- 10+ years as a superintendent on heavy civil projects
- Experience as a superintendent on projects valued over $200M
- Previous superintendent experience on bridge, highway or transit projects
- Knowledge of U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards
- Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred
- Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft
- Experienced in MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid or similar software
- OSHA certification, First Aid Certs
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required
