Overview In this role you will lead quality management for liquid fuels maintenance repairs on a DoD POL facility project in Sioux Falls. You act as the primary QC liaison with the client, drive compliance with the ECC Quality Control Program and contract specs, and oversee testing, documentation, and corrective actions. You will guide subcontractors, run QC meetings, and ensure timely close-out while maintaining on-site presence and safety oversight. This position offers hands-on influence on quality and safety in a mission-critical infrastructure project.

Responsibilities- Act as primary QC spokesperson and coordinate formal client communications
- Ensure work complies with ECC QC Program, contract specifications, codes, and standards
- Promote and support daily safety program with subcontractors and team
- Implement Three-Phase Control Process per company standards
- Facilitate QC meetings and document minutes
- Manage testing program: plan, review, monitor, and record results
- Inspect and document receipt of materials for contract compliance
- Process submittals to meet project requirements and client deadlines
- Author QC documentation (reports, logs, records) and daily client communications
- Author and log RFIs
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented, documented, and closed out
- Initiate stop-work or re-work when nonconformance occurs
- Manage timely project close-out and maintain QC documents on-site
- Maintain daily QC reports and project documents
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Key requirements- Strong written and verbal communication with diplomacy and tact

- Proven ability to teach quality concepts
- Experience leading subcontractors and project teams in quality initiatives
- Competent in Microsoft Office, email, and Windows
- Current Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certificate or ability to obtain within 60 days
- Attend accredited QC management course (e.g., USACE or NAVFAC)
- Five years of fuels-related work experience with at least two years as QC Manager in the last 10 years
- Willingness for on-site work with periodic travel
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science
