Overview As Chief People Officer, you will lead the museum's human resources function and advance a comprehensive DEIA agenda. You will partner with the CEO and senior leaders to shape people strategy, governance, and culture across a diverse workforce. You will champion an inclusive, ethical workplace and drive impactful initiatives that align with the museum's mission and community commitments. This role offers the opportunity to build a centralized DEIA office and influence organization-wide decision-making.
Responsibilities- Oversee and plan all human resources functions
- Provide strong leadership for the HR team
- Drive and integrate DEIA strategies across the organization
- Partner with senior leadership to align people strategy with museum goals
- Champion a respectful, equitable workplace culture
- Ensure governance and operations support of workforce planning and employee experience
Key requirements- 5+ years in a senior leadership role including DEIA strategy
- 10+ years of experience in cultural institutions, higher education, or nonprofit organizations
- Proven track record of integrating DEIA into people strategy, culture, governance, and operations
- Strong relationship-building and influence with colleagues, managers, and senior leadership
- Excellent written and oral communication with high attention to detail
- Impeccable integrity, ethics, and professionalism
