Overview

As a trusted legal advisor to the US product team, you support the development, governance and disclosure of Invesco's investment products. You will engage with senior leadership and governance bodies to address legal risk in a practical, commercially aligned way. This role sits at the intersection of legal, compliance and business, shaping product strategy and regulatory submissions. You'll work on innovative topics like capital markets tokenization and digital asset offerings, helping to balance risk with growth. Responsibilities
  • Provide legal guidance on investment products (REITs, ETFs, mutual funds, closed-end funds, pooled vehicles); support product development, structuring, and distribution with securities laws expertise
  • Advise on securities law topics under the 1940 Act, 1933 Act, and 1934 Act; address governance, disclosure, and evolving capital markets topics
  • Draft and review offering documents, registration statements, and related disclosures; prepare memoranda for governing bodies
  • Engage and maintain relationships with governing bodies across product lines
  • Collaborate with Finance, Compliance and other stakeholders to support regulatory and disclosure obligations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Product and business leaders; contribute to strategic decision making
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives as business needs evolve
Key requirements
  • Juris Doctor and active bar membership
  • 6-12 years of relevant legal experience in law firm and/or in-house
  • Strong experience across Securities Laws disciplines
  • Experience with governance, disclosure or board-related work is beneficial but not required
  • Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and support complex decision-making
  • Strong commercial judgment; ability to translate legal issues into practical guidance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive presence
