Overview In this role you support the operating team to achieve people-related objectives, improving employee and patient satisfaction, managing labor costs, and developing a high-performing workforce. You will help shape employee relations programs, counsel management on HR practices, and ensure compliant handling of grievances, terminations, and investigations. You will lead complex processes such as layoffs, investigations, and disciplinary actions, while partnering on succession planning and onboarding for managers. This position offers a chance to influence HR strategy in a community-focused hospital setting.

Responsibilities- Develop and participate in employee relations programs
- Advise management on HR practices, policies, and labor agreements
- Lead complex grievance investigations, complaints, and disciplinary actions
- Oversee compliance processes and corrective action plans
- Coach for succession planning and onboarding of new managers
- Assist with layoffs, terminations, unemployment hearings and related processes
- Prepare written EEOC responses and other legal communications
- Support management initiatives and facilitate access to HR services
Key requirements- Bachelor degree in a relevant field (HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration)
- 8 years of recent HR experience
- Knowledge of HR policies and laws in both union and nonunion environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and influencing abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
