Overview In this role you support medical affairs by developing and refining scientific documents for publications and presentations. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, consistency, and timely submission to journals and congresses. You will liaise with internal and external authors to advance company-sponsored publications and maintain high editorial standards. The position blends scientific writing with project coordination to deliver credible medical communications at a high level.
Responsibilities- Develop and edit scientific/clinical documents (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slides)
- Navigate document management systems to streamline review and approval before submission
- Maintain consistent writing style and presentation of clinical data for ease of review
- Participate in Medical Affairs Publication Team meetings and cross-functional groups
- Collaborate with internal and external authors to support submissions to high-tier journals
Key requirements- 8-10 years as a medical writer or equivalent experience in clinical research and data presentation
- Proven project management experience and track record with peer-reviewed manuscript submissions
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Acrobat; Datavision expertise a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects, think critically, and meet deadlines
- Customer-facing skills and ability to collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders on publications/presentations
- Ability to interpret and critique scientific/medical literature for scientific and business implications
- Experience in Multiple Sclerosis or neurology area preferred
- Medical writing or publications experience with pharma company or medical communications agency preferred
