Counsel II; Sr. Principal (100438)

In this role you will provide high quality legal advice and manage complex, high exposure litigation for Honda product lines and related vehicles and equipment. You will coordinate defense strategies, oversee outside counsel, and drive knowledge sharing within the Law & IP organization to reduce risk. You'll work on multi jurisdictional matters involving advanced vehicle technologies, ADAS, and a broad product slate. This is a strategic, impact driven position within a collaborative team aiming to protect Honda's interests while enabling business objectives.

• Provide high quality legal services to enable divisions to meet legal obligations and reduce risk
• Prepare and coordinate litigation defense and manage outside counsel and expert fees
• Share and train on legal best practices across the Honda entity/department
• Participate in planning and execution of AHM Law & IP projects with regional focus

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
• Admittance to the California Bar
• At least 5-6 years of heavy product liability experience, preferably in the automotive industry
• Good knowledge of the relevant law area they support
• Substantial experience in managing projects, preferably high volume pattern litigation
