Overview In this Dermatology physician role, you will provide direct patient care within an academic medical setting and contribute to teaching and research. You will join a distinguished dermatology department that supports medical education and patient outcomes. Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care including examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments
- Prescribe medications and treatment regimens as appropriate
- Refer patients to specialists and relevant care components
- Train and supervise medical students and residents
- Oversee daily operations of a medical program or care unit as applicable
- Coordinate patient care activities with nursing and support staff
- Adhere to department policies, quality and safety standards
- Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention initiatives
- Maintain faculty status with CWRU SOM (if applicable)
- Comply with PHI protection and organizational policies
Key requirements- Medical license (unrestricted)
- Board certification or board eligible in specified specialty
- Fellowship training in some specialties
- Knowledge of medical practice standards and ethics
- Ability to supervise and train clinical professionals and students
- Proficiency in current medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment methods
- Experience with EPIC (preferred)
