Overview In this role you lead loss control service direction for key accounts, coordinating internal and vendor resources to protect profitability. You work with underwriters, brokers, and insureds to shape service that aligns with risk and pricing. The position supports pre-sale engagements with large accounts and drives coaching across teams to ensure high-quality risk assessment and loss control delivery. Responsibilities- Direct loss control service direction for new business and dedicated accounts in the regional office
- Assess and align service needs of bound accounts to ensure quality portfolio
- Monitor loss development and deploy loss control resources to maintain profitability and retention
- Coordinate internal and vendor loss control activities, providing feedback and coaching to meet standards
- Match internal or specialist providers to technical skill requirements
- Perform account coordination, quality assurance, problem solving and solution management
- Serve as underwriting/customer technical resource for key industries and casualty lines (e.g., product liability) to support pricing decisions
- Assist in pre-sale meetings with large, high-profile accounts
Key requirements- 10+ years in risk assessment, commercial insurance operations, or private industry risk management
- Thorough knowledge of commercial coverages and underwriting processes
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for relationship management
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven team-building, multi-tasking, problem solving and conflict resolution
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
- Deep understanding of product liability exposures; experience preferred
- Account management experience preferred
- Comfort working with underwriters, brokers, and insureds
- Strong planning, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; advanced computer proficiency
- Typically pursuing or holding advanced degree and/or professional certifications (CPCU, AU, ARM, CRM, CFPS, CSP, CIH, CPE, etc. are desirable)
