Overview In this role, you will lead the full cycle of estimating self-performed concrete restoration and structural repair projects for NY General Repair. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to define scope, price complex bids, and influence pursuit strategy within a market-leading specialty contractor. You will support preconstruction and project execution, driving accurate estimates and clear proposals that mitigate risk. Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates using quantity takeoffs, labor productivity analyses, and material/equipment pricing
- Develop conceptual, budgetary, and final bid estimates tied to drawings, specs, and site conditions
- Create preliminary construction schedules with sequencing and duration assumptions to support pricing
- Lead bid review meetings with internal stakeholders to align on pursuit strategy and final submissions
- Develop detailed proposals with defined scopes, approaches, inclusions, and exclusions to mitigate risk
- Engage with clients and industry partners during the bid process to strengthen relationships
- Collaborate with operations, project management, and field teams to ensure smooth project handoff
Key requirements- 5+ years of progressive estimating experience
- Experience in self-performed concrete restoration or structural repair preferred
- Ability to estimate projects up to $10M+
- Experience managing multiple estimates and mentoring junior estimators
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (OST, Bluebeam or similar)
- Ability to travel 10-20%
