Senior Change Manager - Aviation

Overview

In this role, you lead the project's change management program for a major aviation capital improvement in Los Angeles. You will partner with project teams to assess, document, and resolve changes that affect scope, schedule, cost, and risk, ensuring contractual compliance and strategic guidance for leadership. You'll drive governance, analytics, and reporting to enable informed decisions and successful delivery. This position offers a pivotal impact on large-scale infrastructure initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and administer the project's change management program per contract and project controls standards
  • Develop and improve change management processes, workflows, and governance
  • Facilitate Change Control Board meetings and advise on change approvals or revisions
  • Ensure timely identification, documentation, review, and resolution of changes
  • Evaluate financial, schedule, scope, and risk impacts of proposed changes
  • Coordinate with scheduling, cost management, estimating, and delivery teams for analysis
  • Manage Pending Change Orders, Change Orders, change logs, and tracking systems
  • Develop change metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting
  • Support commercial management, claims avoidance, and risk mitigation related to changes
  • Support broader project controls functions (cost, budgeting, forecasting, earned value)
  • Align approved changes with project controls systems and project audits/compliance
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of project controls experience in large capital programs
  • Minimum 5 years direct experience managing change management processes
  • Experience in aviation, transportation, infrastructure or large public-sector programs preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Change Management, Cost Engineering, Schedule Analysis, Risk Management, Forecasting, Claims and Dispute Resolution, Contract Administration, EVM
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel
  • Experience with PMWeb, Primavera P6, Procore, Unifier or equivalents
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
