Overview In this role you advance Responsible AI at Amazon by tackling core issues such as controllability, privacy, safety, fairness, and governance. You will help define RAI strategies, priorities, and metrics while solving open problems in traditional, generative, and agentic AI use cases. You will contribute to the team's growth and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including academia, to push RAI forward. Responsibilities- Understand technical and scientific RAI issues across controllability, privacy, safety, veracity, robustness, fairness, explainability, transparency, and governance
- Help define strategies, priorities and metrics for RAI
- Solve open RAI problems to unblock AI use cases and publish as appropriate
- Support team development and growth
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including the academic community, on RAI topics
Key requirements- PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience in machine learning technologies, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, NLP or related applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of complex data
