Overview As a Project Manager at HITT, you lead construction projects to meet time, cost, and quality goals while upholding safety and client satisfaction. You coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and communicate with clients and stakeholders to drive successful outcomes. You will partner with site operations and the project superintendent to deliver projects and maintain strong relationships. This role offers impact through hands-on leadership, process optimization, and a focus on quality and safety.
Responsibilities- Maintain safety standards and required documentation
- Create and manage project budgets
- Develop pre-construction RFP packages
- Lead project meetings, set milestones, and produce owner reports
- Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) and approve pay apps
- Schedule projects and ensure quality control and logistics
- Oversee project closeout
- Engage with customers to discuss needs and solutions
- Supervise assistant operations roles
- Collaborate with project superintendent and site operations team
Key requirements- 4-year degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred; high school diploma acceptable with additional experience
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including GC roles
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with software tools: Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards
- Mastery of reading construction drawings
- Strong organizational skills to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of market conditions, pricing conventions, and trends
- Proven leadership, clear communication, initiative, integrity, and customer service orientation
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing technology and methods
- Experience coaching junior team members and maintaining client relationships
