Overview

In this role, you act as Amazon's owner's representative to deliver built facilities and infrastructure for the logistics network. You manage the full construction lifecycle across new builds, retrofits, expansions, and programs, coordinating with developers, design engineers, contractors, and regulators. You serve as the key integrator between construction and internal teams responsible for facility readiness and operation. You work on high-impact projects from planning through turnover, driving safety, budget discipline, and schedule discipline in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as owner's representative and construction integrator across projects
  • Manage multiple projects from design to handover
  • Review bids, budgets, and schedules; resolve discrepancies
  • Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management
  • Negotiate contracts with developers and general contractors
  • Audit contractor performance for required competencies
  • Coordinate permitting and regulatory approvals with AHJ
  • Ensure conformance to building specs and standards
  • Identify and resolve design conflicts and scheduling clashes
  • Coach project teams and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle
  • Champion safety programs and enforce safety culture
  • Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assess project performance via KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability
  • Partner on facility transition, turnover documentation, and base-building management
  • Identify value engineering opportunities with internal partners
  • Seek sustainable, environmentally responsible construction solutions
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Architecture
  • 5+ years of experience as Architect/Engineer/Construction Manager or related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience from design through handover
  • 5+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts
  • 5+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% and a valid driver's license
