Overview In this role you support the design and delivery of transmission projects within HDR's power practice. You work with a cross-disciplinary team to ensure code-compliant, on-schedule design and construction documentation, facilitating communication with agencies and stakeholders. You influence project outcomes through coordination, QA/QC, and effective change management, helping advance grid modernization and reliable power delivery. This role blends technical design, field collaboration, and contract administration in a values-driven, employee-owned culture.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the power design team's work through schematic design, development, and contract documents
- Establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
- Coordinate workload to complete deliverables on schedule
- Conduct site work sessions with Project Manager and other disciplines
- Review project documents for conflicts with other disciplines
- Write and edit project specifications
- Coordinate with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, COs, and incorporate changes
- Provide construction contract administration as needed
- Conduct QA/QC on the work of others (Engineers, PAs, Designers, BIM Technicians) as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and design software (PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit)
