Overview

As Legal Talent Recruiting Manager, you will lead end-to-end recruiting for lateral attorneys and partner with firm leadership to drive strategic hiring. You'll refine hiring processes, ensure compliance, and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience. You will build strong relationships with partners and practice groups, guide branding and outreach, and use analytics to improve efficiency. This role blends leadership, strategy, and execution to support growth and inclusion at the firm.

Responsibilities
  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle for lateral attorneys, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Manage lateral hiring initiatives and refine job descriptions, interview structures, and candidate assessments.
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with firm policies and employment laws.
  • Build relationships with partners, practice group leaders, and business services to anticipate hiring needs.
  • Serve as trusted advisor and primary contact for assigned practice groups on recruiting matters.
  • Communicate candidate pipelines, hiring progress, and market trends to stakeholders.
  • Model best practices in recruiting operations and mentor junior team members.
  • Contribute to employer branding through events and professional organizations.
  • Track recruiting metrics and prepare reports; use data to identify trends and drive improvements.
Key requirements
  • Familiarity with viRecruit, Firm Prospects or comparable ATS.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills across firm levels.
  • Client service orientation and professional presence.
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
  • Proactive problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to process excellence.
  • Bachelor's degree; minimum five years of legal recruiting or professional services talent acquisition experience; experience managing lateral associate hiring.
