Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to manage scope, budget, schedule, and client handovers. The position supports a fast-growing national firm with an entrepreneurial culture, offering opportunities to shape project outcomes and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and direct all aspects of commercial construction projects with focus on safety, quality, and profitability
  • Develop and manage schedules, budgets, and work plans with architects, engineers, and trade subcontractors
  • Negotiate subcontractor agreements, oversee procurement, and maintain cost control
  • Lead site meetings and maintain clear communication with clients, field teams, and stakeholders
  • Generate and track project documentation including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports
  • Enforce compliance with building codes, quality standards, and OSHA safety protocols
  • Coordinate project closeout activities such as walkthroughs, punch lists, inspections, and client handovers
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing commercial construction projects
  • Proficiency with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building methods, MEP trades, cost control, and scheduling
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture; OSHA 30-Hour certification a plus
