Overview In this role you support the Owner on the LAWA ATMP Landside Improvements Project, helping to deliver critical roadways and interfaces in a high-profile transportation program. You'll work across construction administration, document control, and project coordination to keep activities on track and compliant. You will shape how project information flows, mitigate risks, and ensure successful delivery through strong cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Represent the Owner in construction administration according to contract requirements and policies
- Intake, review, log, and track RFIs, submittals, changes, and other correspondence for compliance
- Route documents to design, construction management, and Owner for review and response
- Maintain and close out construction correspondence through approved document control systems
- Assist PMs with drafting correspondence, task orders, change orders, and related docs
- Maintain project records, logs, and files in Owner-approved systems; ensure retrievability
- Prepare monthly reports, summaries, dashboards, and status updates
- Attend and document minutes for project meetings; track action items to closure
- Coordinate with third-party stakeholders (utility companies, labs, surveyors, inspectors)
- Review six-week look-ahead schedules; track plan vs. actual and identify conflicts
- Support dispute resolution with research, fact-finding, and chronology development
- Advise PMs on document status and administrative risks; perform other duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
- Understanding of contracts and codes governing construction
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies
- Team-oriented and computer literate; experience with Microsoft Office and Primavera or similar
