Overview

In this Construction Manager role you lead construction of capital projects such as pipelines and midstream facilities. You collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to plan, estimate, and schedule, and you manage field construction, inspections, and contractor coordination. You ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while driving cost and schedule performance. This position offers meaningful impact on large-scale energy infrastructure and a culture focused on safety and integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in project team meetings and kickoff sessions
  • Oversee inspection staff and contract construction personnel on projects
  • Support design, estimating, and scheduling with PMs, Operations, and Measurement teams
  • Develop scopes of work ensuring operational fit and constructability
  • Lead contractor bid process, bid reviews, and final bidder selection
  • Incorporate lessons learned to drive best practices and avoid repeat issues
  • Manage construction and inspection activities, documentation, safety, permits, and site requirements
  • Coordinate cost reporting, schedule progress, and contractor performance with project team
  • Lead safety and environmental compliance in field execution and closeout
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts on complex technical challenges
  • Drive construction schedules to meet project objectives
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of construction management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Valid driver's license and proven safe driving record
  • On-call 24/7 for emergency response and extended workdays/weeks
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Ability to read drawings and translate design to construction
  • Proven ability to manage contracts, change orders, and cost resolution
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • People leadership across multiple departments and contractors
  • Site safety leadership to maintain incident-free environments

  • Industry certifications in inspection (CWI, NACE, API 1169, NEC)
  • Knowledge of 49 CFR 192 & 195, 29 CFR 1910, 29 CFR 126, API 1104, API 5L, ASME B31.3/31.4/31.8, NEC
  • OSHA PSM and PHMSA DOT requirements
