Overview In this role you drive planning and execution of water and sewer mainline capital projects, from early planning through as-built documentation. You'll partner with engineering, operations, public officials, and contractors and contribute to capital budgets and project feasibility. You'll manage developer and third-party projects, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance and safe construction. The position offers exposure to large-scale infrastructure work within Aqua Ohio and opportunities to influence public service delivery. Responsibilities- Identify, design, permit, bid, and construct replacement projects aligned with the capital budget
- Develop 5- and 10-year capital plans and estimate project costs
- Coordinate with Operations to justify projects and optimize system benefits
- Oversee field construction, inspectors, and site visits; resolve issues
- Create drawings with Design and Operations teams for bidding, permitting, construction, and as-builts
- Manage change orders, pay applications, and customer complaints during construction
- Prepare or direct permit applications and material orders; track inventory
- Bid projects, award contracts, and prepare contract documents
- Supervise third-party inspectors across concurrent projects
- Coordinate waterline shutdowns and finalize as-built drawings with Operations
- Review and set up inspection services for developer projects; ensure easements and agreements
- Review commercial/industrial plans for services, backflow devices, metering, and domestic connections
- Provide information for third-party design drawings; ensure compliance with state/local/Aqua standards
- Close out projects with material verification, as-builts, and asset retirements; support accounting
- Uphold safety policies on site; travel within Ohio when needed
- Represent Aqua Ohio at state/local levels; maintain positive public relations with customers and regulators

Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental/Construction Engineering preferred
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology with two years of construction management experience (or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Procore, AutoCAD, SAP, PowerPlan or ability to learn
