Overview As a Litigation Associate in Orrick's Complex Litigation/Financial Services team in Houston, you support high-stakes disputes for energy, financial services, and technology clients. You will work at the intersection of business strategy and law, handling complex commercial litigation, IP disputes, regulatory matters, and mass torts. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide clients through federal and state court and arbitration settings. Responsibilities- Advising on strategic workforce growth, founder disputes, employment policies, wage-and-hour compliance, RIFs, and restrictive covenants
- Providing practical guidance on high-stakes employment matters to C-suite and HR leaders
- Assessing and addressing employment risks in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and post-closing integration
- Drafting and negotiating employment agreements, non-competes, and related documents
- Collaborating with technology and private equity clients to understand their employment challenges
