Overview

In this role you lead the design, development, and ongoing administration of an on-premises SharePoint Server environment in a classified, air-gapped setting. You will deliver custom SharePoint solutions, automate processes, and manage governance to meet mission needs. You'll collaborate with IA, infrastructure, and leadership to maintain security, compliance, and platform health while driving continuous improvement. This position offers the opportunity to shape a high-security collaboration platform that supports critical government programs. You will work to ensure usability, performance, and secure operations in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design, development, and sustainment of on-premises SharePoint environment in a classified setting
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom SharePoint components, scripts, and interfaces
  • Administer farms, site collections, lists, libraries, metadata, and search features
  • Manage permissions, access controls, and least-privilege security
  • Design and implement workflow and process automation solutions
  • Troubleshoot platform, application, and content management issues
  • Coordinate patching, upgrades, and health monitoring with IA teams
  • Establish governance for site architecture, content organization, and lifecycle controls
  • Ensure compliance with ATO, STIGs, and security/change management requirements
  • Lead modernization efforts to improve usability, performance, and security
  • Collaborate with system admins, network engineers, and leadership to support mission requirements
  • Deliver ORNL's mission while upholding core values and fostering a respectful workplace
Key requirements
  • BS degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of SharePoint development and administration experience
  • Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or active DOE Q clearance
  • Experience developing SharePoint-based solutions, workflows, and site features
  • Experience managing permissions, content, site structure, troubleshooting, and user support in SharePoint
  • Experience applying automation, scripting, or workflow tools to improve processes
