Overview As Senior Scientist in Bioanalytical Development, you will advance analytical methods and bioanalytical assays to screen drug candidates, working within a core discovery team. You will operate analytical instruments on-site in Newark, contributing to projects that move ideas toward clinic-ready therapies. You will collaborate across functions to support pharmacodynamics and efficacy studies, while maintaining rigorous records and safety. Responsibilities- Operate and maintain analytical instruments (HPLC, mass spectrometry, and related lab equipment)
- Prepare reagents, calibrators, QCs, standard curves, and samples for analysis
- Develop, optimize, and execute analytical methods
- Perform analytical assays (ELISA) to support PD and efficacy studies
- Ensure supplies of consumables and reagents with the Bioanalytical team
- Apply technical and scientific knowledge to support bioanalytical assay development
- Maintain meticulous experimental records
- Communicate results to the Bioanalytical team and cross-functionally
- Follow lab safety protocols and foster a health-conscious workplace environment
Key requirements- MS in a relevant field with 5+ years of industry/academic experience or BS with 10+ years of experience
- Experience operating and maintaining analytical instrumentation (HPLC, mass spectrometry, spectrophotometers) and using data analysis software
- Understanding of chromatography fundamentals and analytical separations
- Ability to follow SOPs and optimize existing methods
- Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail
