Overview In this role you will lead ServiceNow SAM engagements, shaping holistic, scalable solutions that optimize software entitlement and license compliance. You will work with business and technology stakeholders to deliver design-driven architectures and repeatable implementations. Responsibilities- Lead SAM implementation workshops to capture business process designs, technical requirements, and user stories
- Architect end-to-end SAM solutions including entitlement, license compliance, discovery, license position, reclamation, and SaaS management
- Create comprehensive solution designs and roadmaps from licensing and procurement needs
- Engage clients to understand software estate, publisher exposure, and cost-optimization goals, mapping ServiceNow capabilities to savings and reduced audit risk
- Lead and participate in design, development, testing, deployment, and organizational change activities across enterprise and public sector accounts
- Define SAM operating models, data governance, reclamation methodologies, renewal strategies, and discovery-to-entitlement reconciliation
- Ensure quality delivery using ServiceNow best practices and implementation patterns
- Advise executives on license compliance posture, audit defense, and software spend optimization
- Perform occasional business-process consultant work-discovery, requirements, epics, and acceptance criteria
- Support engagement management with scope, estimation, staffing, risk, and delivery planning
- Mentor teammates on SAM best practices, entitlements, normalization, license metrics, and SaaS integrations
- Respond to RFIs/RFPs with authoritative SAM content and value propositions
- Contribute to practice development through accelerators, thought leadership, and SAM-focused offerings
- Collaborate across SAM and adjacent workflows to deliver integrated platform solutions
Key requirements- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow SAM design and delivery experience
- Expertise across Software Asset Management, SaaS License Management, IT Asset Management, or licensing advisory
- Proven ability to deliver complex implementations with multiple stakeholders and measurable value
- Strong ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
- Consultative approach with capability to assess SAM maturity and define roadmaps
- Experience leading design across entitlement, licensing, discovery, reclamation, and audit readiness
- Process fluency to support business-process consultant work when needed
- Commercial and delivery judgment for engagement management including estimation, scope, staffing, and risk management
- Trusted advisor with client stakeholder relationship management
- Experience facilitating executive workshops on audit readiness and license optimization
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Certifications: CSA, CAD, CIS-SAM; CIS-DF, CIS-HAM, CIS-ITSM strongly preferred
- Strong ServiceNow platform skills (JavaScript, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP, UI Builder, reporting, PA)
- CMDB, CSDM, and Discovery knowledge; software data normalization and asset-to-CI reconciliation
- Experience integrating SAM with SaaS platforms, endpoints, procurement, ERP/financial systems, and publisher portals
