Overview In this Building Engineer role, you ensure maintenance systems operate safely and efficiently to protect clients and properties. You will respond to requests, manage work orders, and conduct proactive inspections and preventative maintenance. You'll collaborate with property managers, suppliers, and leaders to optimize operations and control costs. You'll support budgeting, RFP processes, and maintenance programs, contributing to Colliers' industry-leading service. Responsibilities- Maintain and verify daily operating logs for HVAC, fan units, graph charts, utility meters, and general complaints
- Ensure efficient handling of building systems and tenant service requests at economical cost
- Assist in annual budget development and RFP processes for budgeted projects
- Demonstrate understanding of operating procedures and proper chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers
- Maintain a valid driver's license and on-site presence as required
- Respond to client requests, prioritize and assign work orders, and follow up to minimize downtime
- Conduct regular inspections, alarm testing, and implement preventative maintenance programs
- Develop and maintain relationships with property managers, suppliers, and department leaders
- Manage multiple priorities and reports (inventory, records, schedules)
- Proactively monitor building performance and maintain logs and records
