Overview In this role, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for industrial and mechanical categories to drive cost optimization and supplier performance. You'll partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain leadership to identify opportunities, lead supplier negotiations, and implement improvements. You will monitor market trends and build dashboards to track savings and procurement effectiveness. This is a strategic, cross-functional procurement role focused on delivering measurable value in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with business goals
- Lead competitive bidding events, RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations
- Identify cost savings, avoidance, and value engineering opportunities
- Establish and manage supplier relationships, performance, and service levels
- Conduct market and spend analysis to identify opportunities and risk mitigation
- Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, warranties, and service agreements
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, and Supply Chain
- Develop sourcing dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools
- Support continuous improvement of procurement processes
- Maintain compliance with procurement policies and supplier governance
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- 4+ years in strategic sourcing/procurement/category management
- Proven success in contract and supplier negotiations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing supplier relationships and delivering results
- Ability to analyze spend data and develop sourcing strategies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
