Overview In this Electrical Estimator role, you will develop accurate cost estimates for electrical projects across commercial, industrial, and healthcare sectors. You'll partner with project managers and engineers to align estimates with project scope and timelines, supporting bid submissions and cost optimization. You'll apply estimation software to create precise figures and ensure documentation is organized and accessible. This is a hands-on, cross-functional opportunity to impact project profitability and delivery.
Compensation / Benefits Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects based on plans and specifications
- Conduct bid take-offs and analyze project documents to identify materials and labor
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand requirements and scope
- Utilize estimation software (Accubid, Bluebeam) to create accurate estimates
- Review supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness
- Support bidding process and assist in bid submissions
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation
- Evaluate and implement cost-saving measures where feasible
Key requirements- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator with strong understanding of electrical plans and specifications
- Knowledge of estimating software such as Accubid and Bluebeam
- Experience in sectors including mission critical, commercial, industrial, and healthcare (preferred)
- Familiarity with NEC codes and standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
