Overview In this role you support Cutera's Legal Department across litigation, corporate entity management, export compliance, and knowledge management. You will drive cross-functional projects from planning to completion, leveraging strong organization and stakeholder engagement. You will help optimize processes, maintain records, and support outside counsel, with potential expansion into IP portfolio work. This is a hands-on position suited for an experienced in-house legal professional seeking impact and growth.
Responsibilities- Support litigation and discovery activities, including preservation, data collection, document review, and productions
- Maintain litigation calendars, matter trackers, and production records; coordinate with stakeholders
- Assist with insurance claims, witness materials, and legal invoices and budgets
- Manage records for domestic and international subsidiaries and intercompany documentation; track compliance deadlines
- Coordinate corporate filings, director/officer appointments, and organizational changes with internal teams and local counsel
- Support export compliance program development, audits, investigations, and responses to questions on trade controls
- Develop and improve processes, workflows, templates, trackers, SOPs, playbooks, dashboards, and training materials
- Support implementation of legal tech and matter-management tools; assist with reporting, budgeting, and outside counsel management
- Provide general administrative and substantive support on special projects and time-sensitive matters
- Potentially assist with IP portfolio management, including filings, renewals, and docketing
- Review redlines of commercial agreements and organize comments for attorney review
Key requirements- 5-7 years of legal operations experience in-house
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in legal operations
- Strong project-management and execution skills; ability to handle complex projects independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate cross-functionally
