Overview

As a Senior Cost Manager in Project Controls at JLL, you will lead cost control and estimation services across diverse projects from concept to completion. You'll work with cross functional teams to set budgets, analyze risks, and produce cost reports that influence decision making. The role combines hands-on estimating with leadership of project teams and client interactions to ensure on time, on budget delivery. This position sits at the heart of client-focused project controls, shaping project outcomes for a broad real estate portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed construction cost and project cost estimates from conceptual design through final construction documents
  • Track actual costs against budgets and maintain project cost control reports
  • Conduct value engineering and design option reviews; perform bid analysis and reconcile with contractors/subcontractors
  • Review change orders and support change management to ensure scope alignment
  • Develop and monitor risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Analyze project documentation for compliance with standards and regulations
  • Stay current with industry trends and contribute to strategic client initiatives
  • Lead projects and teams while maintaining effective client interactions
Key requirements
  • 5+ years as an Estimator, Cost Manager, or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management)
  • Strong ability to communicate analyzed data to clients and teams
  • Good understanding of architectural drawings and planning concepts
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for executive-level interaction
  • Ability to generate AACE level 1-5 cost evaluations
  • Experience with estimating software and benchmarking tools
  • Ability to lead teams and translate outputs into deliverables
  • Comfort working both collaboratively and independently in ambiguous environments
  • Strong analytical thinking
