Responsibilities- Research, design, and prototype advanced ML approaches for autonomous driving
- Influence technical roadmaps and prioritize ML efforts aligned with company objectives
- Provide technical mentorship and strategic vision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering groups to foster ML innovation
- Represent GM externally through publications, patents, and top conferences
Key requirements- Ph.D. in a technical field related to ML/robotics/electrical engineering
- 5+ years in AI/ML research and applied development
- Deep expertise in modern ML architectures (transformers, generative AI, multimodal systems)
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities with ability to influence technical strategy
