Overview In this role you contribute to patient care by performing a range of laboratory procedures in the Central Clinical Laboratory, applying independent judgment to high-complexity testing. Responsibilities- Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures
- Exercise independent judgment in interpretation of results
- Conduct high-complexity testing per CLIA 1988 requirements
- Maintain laboratory standards and practices
- Collaborate with lab team and ensure timely, accurate reporting
Key requirements- Associate in Laboratory Science or Bachelor in Laboratory Science (minimum/typical)
- Active MT-ASCP, MLT-ASCP, or CLS-NCA certification or attain within 6 months of hire
- Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices
- Experience in a laboratory setting beneficial
- Ability to work PM/Night rotation, weekends, and holidays
- CLIA high-complexity testing
- Medical Technology (MT-ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT-ASCP) certification
- ASCP Board of Certification or CLS-NCA
- Laboratory standards and quality control practices
