Overview As an Applied Scientist on the Personalization team, you will research, design, and develop AI technologies for personalized shopping experiences. You will create and deploy ML models, including large language models, to improve recommendations and explanations. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product partners to launch new features and systems at scale. This role offers access to large datasets and compute, with impact across millions of customers.
Responsibilities- Research, design, and development of AI technologies for personalization
- Adopt or invent ML/analytical techniques for recommendations and LLMs
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product partners locally and abroad
- Invent, experiment with, and launch new features, products and systems
- Contribute to scaling and deployment of solutions in production
Key requirements- PhD in CS/EE or related field, or MSc with 5+ years of applied research
- Strong CS foundations (data structures and algorithms)
- Excellent coding/design skills in Java or Python
- Several publications at top-tier conferences or journals
