Overview In this Recruiter role, you steward end-to-end talent acquisition to support Gusto's mission of empowering small businesses. You partner with hiring partners to design tailored hiring plans, build strong relationships with managers, and craft strategies to attract and close top tech talent. You'll emphasize an inclusive candidate experience while helping scale the organization through data-driven recruiting and AI-enabled workflows. Responsibilities- Own full-cycle recruiting for Gusto roles with req-based alignment to business needs
- Partner with Hiring PEs to develop customized hiring plans that drive results
- Build consultative relationships with hiring managers in evolving hiring environments
- Develop tailored sourcing and outreach strategies to attract and close talent and foster belonging
- Provide a thoughtful, high-touch candidate experience throughout the process
- Collaborate with Compensation, People Partners, and Executive Operations to ensure seamless execution
- Contribute to and improve recruiting processes to enable scalable growth
- Challenge the status quo with creative ideas to elevate recruiting at Gusto
Key requirements- 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience; 2+ years in a high-growth tech environment
- Proven success in req-based recruiting focusing on mid- to senior-level roles
- Strong track record coaching hiring partners through the full lifecycle
- Proficient with Greenhouse, Gem, Slack, LinkedIn Recruiter, and G-Suite; experience with AI and talent intelligence tools (e.g., ChatGPT, LinkedIn AI, sourcing automation, competitive insights)
- Growth mindset toward AI adoption and integrating new tools into workflows
- Commitment to inclusive hiring and building representative pipelines
- Comfort using funnel metrics and data to inform hiring strategy and drive efficiency
