Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for major capital projects
- Develop and scale analytical tools for portfolio optimization, value improvement, and cost/schedule diagnostics
- Create construction cost models and proprietary solutions to drive project impact
- Support client engagements by gathering data, testing hypotheses, and delivering actionable recommendations
- Present findings to client leadership and collaborate with their teams to implement solutions
- Build benchmarking databases, cost models, and market perspectives
- Synthesize findings into models, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences
- Contribute to the firm's capital analytics knowledge base and engage in ongoing training and mentorship
Key requirements- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering, Construction Science, or a related field
- 3+ years on major capital projects in project management or project controls
- 3+ years hands-on experience with construction estimating software for large-scale capital projects
- Experience in consulting, strategic planning, or research is advantageous
- Proficiency with Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE) highly preferred
- Familiarity with other industry estimating tools (e.g., Cleopatra Estimating, Autodesk ProEst, Sage Estimating, InEight Estimating, Trimble Accubid, Bluebeam, Stack, RIB CostX, ICEC, ACostE)
- Advanced Excel modeling and handling large datasets with databases
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and initiative in professional, academic, or extracurricular settings
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 50%
