Overview In this role you will provide underwriting support and guidance for real estate title insurance commitments and policies. You will apply established underwriting standards to issue title policies and advise on settlement services. You'll collaborate with internal teams and agents to ensure compliant, efficient real estate transactions, contributing to First American's People First culture. This is a senior, law-driven underwriting position with Ohio-specific experience, offering opportunities to shape underwriting practices and client outcomes.

Responsibilities- Provide underwriting support and authorization for title insurance commitments and policies
- Apply underwriting standards within delegated authority to issue title insurance
- Guide personnel in real estate settlement services
- Issue underwriting standards and guidelines per company processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Law degree required
- Admitted to practice in state of employment
- Licensed to practice law in good standing
- 5-7 years title underwriting experience
- Familiarity with real estate law
- Strong understanding of real estate title and settlement processes
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to real estate title insurance and settlements
- Ability to collaborate and act decisively
