Overview As Associate 3D Technical Designer, you will help maintain quality and fit across children's apparel, collaborating with Design and Production to uphold brand standards. You'll develop spec packages, run fit sessions, and ensure safety compliance, translating measurements and construction details for vendors. This role blends hands-on pattern and construction expertise with 3D tooling to support efficient product development. You'll work in a collaborative, office-based environment focused on consistent quality and timely delivery.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain fit and construction standards with Design and Production to ensure brand consistency and quality
- Create style spec packages including grade rules and non-standard construction details
- Measure and evaluate development, proto samples for spec, quality and workmanship
- Prepare and lead fit sessions with Design and Production functions
- Communicate measurement, construction and workmanship feedback to vendors with diagrams/pattern explanations
- Collaborate with Production and Compliance to meet children's safety requirements
- Answer inquiries regarding fit, specs, pattern, and construction via email
Key requirements- Minimum 2 years relevant experience, ideally in childrenswear
- Experience with Browzwear 3D software or similar
- Familiarity with measuring sample points and tolerances
- Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction
- Knowledge of patternmaking, sewing terminology, and garment construction
- Understanding of garment manufacturing and product development process
- Proficient in Excel and MS Word; Illustrator knowledge is a plus
- Willing to work in the office 5 days/week
