Overview In this role you will lead landscape architecture within AECOM's Transportation Business Line, shaping streetscapes, highway beautification, and multimodal networks across the Southeast. You'll partner with planners, engineers, and clients to design sustainable, context sensitive solutions that improve mobility and quality of life. Responsibilities- Lead landscape architecture tasks from planning through construction administration on complex transportation projects
- Serve as design lead, directing creative direction and quality on deliverables
- Collaborate with clients, transportation agencies, and stakeholders to set goals and solutions
- Mentor and guide junior landscape architects, designers, and staff
- Prepare and review planting plans, hardscape layouts, visual simulations, specs, cost estimates, and reports
- Support project pursuits, proposals, and presentations to agencies and municipal clients
- Ensure compliance with DOT standards and environmental regulations
- Contribute to business development and strengthen transportation landscape architecture practice
Key requirements- BA/BS in Landscape Architecture or related field
- 6 years of landscape architecture experience or equivalent
- Licensure as Landscape Architect or actively pursuing licensure (preferred)
- Familiarity with native/climate-appropriate plant communities in the US Southeast
- Experience with MicroStation and DOT construction documentation
- Experience with Design-Build project delivery
- Experience with RFP/RFQ processes for public/private entities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and ArcGIS
