Overview In this role you will lead a Middle Market production underwriting team in Seattle, supporting a market-facing, growth-oriented insurance business. You will partner with leadership to manage a hybrid work schedule, while maintaining market visibility and broker relationships. You'll drive technical underwriting excellence, team development, and sales execution to deliver end-to-end insurance solutions, including international programs. This is a hands-on leadership position with a focus on building a high-performing, collaborative team in a dynamic market.

Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of Property & Casualty production underwriters
- Drive sales execution and broker relationship management
- Maintain market presence with in-office/market activity three days per week
- Support and shape team culture and performance
- Travel as necessary to support team needs and broker engagement
- Oversee portfolio management and strategic risk selection
Key requirements- High School Diploma or Equivalent with 7+ years in underwriting/market facing area or 14+ years in claims/under support, OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 5+ years in underwriting/market facing area
- 2+ years of management experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- CPCU and advanced product/industry knowledge preferred
- Excellent verbal/written communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities
- Experience managing complex portfolios and knowledge of insurance operations and market environment
