Overview In this role you assist a senior project team in managing EPC construction ventures across electrical substations, transmission, distribution, and power generation. You'll help drive safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and contract administration while coordinating with clients and subcontractors. The position supports risk reviews, planning documents, procurement, and field execution, enabling successful project delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure safety compliance, timely progress, and accurate reporting. This role offers hands-on impact in shaping project execution and turnover while expanding your experience in a dynamic, multi-project environment.
Responsibilities- Assist in safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, and procurement management on EPC projects
- Support development and implementation of project plans (execution, QA, safety, subcontracting, staffing, procurement)
- Contribute to contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change management, and claims mitigation
- Prepare and manage project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and progress tracking
- Support bid processes, RFPs, and subcontractor selection and award
- Coordinate permits, turnover, closeout, and warranty activities
- Monitor labor, equipment, and craft classifications; assist with staffing and training
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety programs, and project requirements
- Collaborate with Superintendents and Site Managers to verify subcontractor compliance
- Manage project documentation systems, insurance/licensing checks, and audits
- Assist with invoicing, cash flow reporting, and financial controls
- Support project risk reviews and liaison with Legal as required
- Facilitate material receiving, inventory control, and logistics
- Prepare status updates for internal and external stakeholders
Key requirements- Bachelor in Construction in a related field
- 3 years of relevant construction experience (substitution allowed for the degree)
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, transportation, or water is preferred
