Overview In this role you will help shape autonomous AI in production at AWS by leading deep learning and agentic research across models, systems, and applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate research into production-ready agents that diagnose and resolve incidents, proactively repair code, and analyze multi-modal telemetry at scale. You'll mentor junior scientists and drive a roadmap that aligns with cloud observability, security, and reliability goals. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of cutting-edge research and real-world systems serving millions of customers.

Responsibilities- Develop breakthroughs in agentic architecture focusing on autonomy, self-validation, continuous learning, and timeseries foundation models
- Mentor and guide junior scientists
- Develop technology strategy and roadmap to support product development
- Create prototypes, oversee productization of prototypes, and evaluate prototypes critically
- Write technical reports summarizing R&D progress and communicate to stakeholders
Key requirements- PhD or Master in CS, CE, ML or related field
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience in AI (NLP or multi-modality models), Deep Learning, LLM model training, graph learning, software engineering
