Overview In this role you will shape OKX's regulatory and legal strategy for the US and the Americas, acting as a primary partner to senior business leadership. You will coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Finance, and other functions to navigate a changing digital asset regulatory landscape. You'll lead cross-functional legal efforts across regions and advise on growth opportunities while handling time-sensitive, high-stakes matters. Responsibilities- Develop and advance a best-in-class regulatory strategy for the US and the Americas, building strong regulator relationships
- Serve as a key point of contact with regulators and business counterparties and interact with senior executives daily
- Identify growth opportunities and strategic initiatives through proactive analysis of regulatory developments
- Lead and manage attorneys across Americas regions to ensure coordinated legal efforts and successful outcomes
- Manage a wide range of legal requests and advise on risk to support regional business goals
Key requirements- Membership with a US state bar or equivalent
- 12+ years of regulatory experience in financial services within a highly regulated environment
- In-house at a regulated financial firm or crypto industry experience, or top-tier law firm or regulator background
- Experience driving projects to completion on expedited timelines
- Ability to advise senior management and navigate legal ambiguity
- Experience cross-jurisdictional regulatory matters and supervising other attorneys
- Strong communication and leadership
