Overview Envision and drive Duolingo's talent systems as Head of Talent Management Programs & PMO. You will translate people strategy into scalable programs spanning performance, competency models, succession, and manager enablement, while governing the portfolio for timely, high quality delivery. You'll connect Talent Management and Rewards with clear metrics, shaping a data driven operating cadence. This role offers impact at scale within a mission driven, fast paced product environment. You'll partner across functions to ensure cohesive, high velocity people initiatives that support global growth.
Responsibilities- End-to-End Program Design for core talent cycles (performance, 360 feedback, promotions) aligned with a high-performance culture
- Create standardized competency models and career ladders for global functions
- Design and facilitate talent reviews and succession planning based on data
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enable managers with tools and insights
- Own the integrated talent management roadmap and governance for on-time delivery
- Establish a lean project management approach prioritizing speed and impact
- Coordinate with Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Business Leadership to integrate initiatives
- Develop an enterprise performance framework and dashboards to measure ROI of people programs
- Perform root-cause analysis on organizational trends to inform policy and resource decisions
Key requirements- 8+ years in Talent Management, People Operations and portfolio/program management in fast-paced environments
- Experience leading company-wide talent programs with PMO ownership
- Expertise in performance systems, org design, competency/career frameworks, succession planning, and manager effectiveness
- Strong operational rigor with PM/PMO frameworks and process improvement (PMP/PgMP/Agile, Lean principles)
- Strong data fluency and a product mindset for people analytics
