Overview

In this role you drive construction project completion by leading field teams, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining quality and safety standards. You actively manage schedules, procurement, and documentation to ensure on-time delivery. You collaborate with owners and architects to build confidence and oversee turnover and close-out. You work across multiple sites, solving problems quickly to keep projects moving forward. This is a hands-on leadership role in a safety-focused, schedule-driven environment that values coordination and results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform essential Assistant Superintendent/Project Engineer duties
  • Enforce safety procedures and participate inSafety Training Program
  • Verify subcontractor insurance certificates
  • Prepare and manage CPM project schedule
  • Coordinate field construction team and subcontractors
  • Set and ensure quality standards
  • Order materials, plan supply usage to prevent shortages
  • Prepare reports such as time sheets, work orders, daily reports, and invoices
  • Document punchlists and ensure timely completion
  • Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals
  • Lead pre-job conferences and subcontractor meetings
  • Conduct start-up testing and turnover to Owner
  • Document final close-out and Owner acceptance
  • Travel as required and supervise multiple projects over a wide area
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Key requirements
  • Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive field construction supervision experience
  • Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification or ability to obtain within six months
  • Knowledge of reading specifications across all trades; foreman/journeyman or project engineer background
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws
  • Knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting and cost control
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
