Overview As Slack's VP, Product Design you will shape the agentic AI-infused future of Slack, leading high-level design vision while executing at the highest craft. You'll partner with CDO, CPO, and engineering to prototype and validate the platform, guiding cross-functional teams toward a coherent AI operating system for work. You'll tackle ambitious, systemic design challenges that enable human-AI collaboration at scale. This is a rare IC leadership role focused on defining the product direction and delivering impactful experiences for millions of users.

Responsibilities- Define and prototype the long-range design vision for Slack's agentic future, aligning organization and roadmap
- Hands-on, pixel-perfect design at scale using AI, code, and prototyping to quickly turn ideas into working experiences
- Influence product strategy with CDO, CPO, and engineering leadership; communicate at SVP/C-suite levels
- Drive cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, research, and brand
- Lead radical simplification of Slack's current experience toward an AI-first paradigm
- Invent new interaction patterns for agentic UX, voice-anchored interfaces, ambient AI surfaces, and dynamic UI
- Advocate for enterprise users and design for users with high message loads and limited time to learn new paradigms
Key requirements- 12+ years of product design experience at significant scale (senior IC)
- Portfolio demonstrating visionary concept work plus execution quality
- Ability to define product direction through design, not just react to it
- Experience designing consumer-grade, intuitive experiences in complex product contexts
- Track record influencing product strategy at leadership level
- Exceptional communication and storytelling; simplify complex ideas and make them compelling
