Overview

In this Technical Designer role, you bring women's apparel from concept through production by crafting precise tech packs, BOMs, and fit documentation. You will partner with Design, Product Development, Production, and external vendors to uphold quality, fit, and brand standards across the development cycle. You analyze fit and construction, identify revisions, and guide teams to achieve functional, manufacturable, and visually aligned products. This position sits at the intersection of design and manufacturing, shaping garment performance and customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and technical expertise drive product excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed tech packs with sketches, measurements, grading, construction details, and specs
  • Create and manage Bills of Materials, packaging requirements, care labels, carton markings, and related docs
  • Conduct and participate in fit sessions with live models; analyze fit and communicate revisions
  • Review prototypes and pre-production garments with pattern makers and manufacturers to ensure standards
  • Identify construction challenges and propose practical, cost-conscious design solutions
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production, and external partners to ensure timely, quality product execution
  • Maintain quality standards across products and support brand consistency
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field
  • 3-5 years of Technical Design experience in apparel
  • Experience with women's apparel; outerwear/activewear preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and CAD software
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit evaluation
  • Exceptional attention to detail with accurate measurement and grading
  • Effective written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
